![]() ![]() Thank you Elna Baker for the insight and fun. I haven't laughed so hard during an interview in a long time. I discovered Elna Baker while listening to her being interviewed on NPR. People who are unafraid to voice their feelings in a confident and sincere way, without all the fluff. ![]() ![]() We could use more Mormons like Elna in the Church. The humor is only secondary to the book's bigger objective. Especially to those who are familiar with Mormonism. What is most important is that she defines herself as being "Elna," and her experience through Mormonism is only one piece of who she is. To me, it doesn't matter how Baker currently feels about the Mormon faith. She should be praised for having the courage to take a step back and look at herself, her religion, and the world objectively without taking everything so seriously.
